Ada Lovelace Day
Since 2009 Ada Lovelace Day has been held every year on the second Tuesday of October in honor of the woman who’s regarded as the first computer programmer and to acknowledge the achievements of all female professionals working in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). We toast women from the past and present anticipating that their contributions will inspire younger generations to continue exploring what Lovelace called “the thing that is beyond the senses.”

As the saying goes, “It’s 5 o’clock somewhere,” and no matter where you are, you can always enjoy the Bermuda Hundred, a perfect marriage of a Negroni and a Mai Tai.
Ruth Bader GINsburg
From one great woman to another, we toast the late Supreme Court Justice with a cocktail worthy of her stature using our Ada Lovelace Gin. Bader Ginsburg famously said, “Fight for the things that you care about, but do it in a way that will lead others to join you.” Great Women Spirits salutes her wisdom.
The Negroni was born in 1919 when Count Camillo Negroni asked a bartender at the Caffe Casoni, Florence, to strengthen his Americano with gin rather than soda water. Soon thereafter, everyone was requesting a “Negroni!” Enjoy this iconic cocktail mixing Ada Lovelace Gin with Hypatia Rubi Amaro, our proprietary amaro blend.
